companies today have a need for commerce-ready internet applications,
internal or external to the business process. Whether this means
providing real-time access to legacy data repositories or B2B or
B2C facilities to enhance market share and competitive advantage,
we understand the issues surrounding planning, design, capacity,
and security. |

HostSolutions Through our trusted partners at GKG, Westcar
offers end-to-end application hosting and support services, allowing
our customers
to forego
the rigor and demand required by internal deployment of web-based
applications. Our hosting rates are highly competitive as compared

OUR
APPROACH - WFD
Westcar developed a system design methodology (WFD) loosely derived from the
Quality Function Deployment model that was pioneered in Japan
by Yoji
Akao in
1966. The principles have been successfully applied in many rigorous environments
from space exploration and auto manufacturing to software development.
Our WFD methodology is a true system engineering process
that transforms the desires of the customer into the language required, at
all project levels, to implement a product or deliverable. It also provides
the glue necessary to tie all facets of a project together and manage it efficiently
and effectively.
WFD is a way to ensure the design quality of a product
while it is still in design - long before it reaches the end-user. When successfully
applied, WFD has demonstrated the reduction of development time by one-third
to one-half.
Unlike
many other methodologies,
WFD is flexible to the customer's needs. And, because of its real-world oriented
framework and pragmatic approach guidelines, it requires no education.
In essence, WFD is a structured process, a visual language,
and a set of interlinked engineering and management charts, all integrated
with seven core management tools. It establishes customer value using
the "voice
of the customer" and transforms that value into
design and production process characteristics. The result is a systems
engineering process which prioritizes and links the product development
process so that it assures product quality and affordability as defined
by the customer.
